What a wonderful way to celebrate Armed Forces Day! We had a record number of registrants for the 5th Anniversary event. The race was started by a local non-profit,
Semper Fi Fund with a mission to support wounded, ill and injured post-9/11 combat veterans. This is the first year that the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission became involved in the race and helped the organization by being the race director. Adding a second bridge and a stroll through the Memorial Gardens to the race course was a well-received change to the race this year. Our objective is to continue to grow and improve the race from year to year. It was the 4th race in the 2019 JOSC Race Series and we were delighted to see many familiar faces that we had seen at the other races in the series.
