owns and operates various events throughout the year.
hALL OF FAME
Presented by Coastal Bank & Trust
To honor those who have advanced sport in Onslow County, the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission created the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. From athletes to coaches to contributors, the members of the Hall of Fame have been the heart of “everything athletic” in our community over the years. Organizers and supporters believed the rich sports history of our area should be memorialized and that an annual observance of those who have enhanced our lives with their performances and commitment should be undertaken.
BEAT THE BRIDGE
Presented by Marine Chevy
Can you conquer TWO bridges??
Join us for Beat the Bridge 10K/5K in beautiful downtown Jacksonville, NC. Our event will highlight the beauty of the City of Jacksonville, the commitment the military community and local community have to working together, and the determination and optimism of local athletes. Part of the proceeds benefit Semper Fi Fund.
Frogman 3D Bowhunters Challenge & 5K
Frogman was created by The Campbell Family in 2012 to honor the wish of their beloved SOC (SEAL) Christopher Campbell. Chris lost his life during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan when a CH-47 Chinook helicopter, call sign Extortion 17, in which he and 30 others Americans were riding, was shot down on August 6, 2011. The event honors his final wish to support combat wounded veterans, his love for hunting, especially bow hunting, and the outdoors.
By supporting Frogman, you ensure that Chris’ wish carries on and that he and his teammates are never forgotten!
MOVIN' MULLET 5K
Presented by Bob Mills Mitsubishi
When you hear the word mullet, do you think of the fish or the rockin’ hairstyle? With our race, we hope your future answer will be both.

We hope that you will use this opportunity to show off your fun clothing and awesome mullet hairstyles. Whether it is the North Carolina Neck Warmer, the Kentucky Waterfall, the Camero Crash Helmet, the Tennessee Top Hat, the Beaver Paddle, the El Camino Headrest, or even the Mississippi Mudflap, all mullets are welcomed…and actually encouraged.
