The Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission gives grants and helps with promotion of various events that promote tourism in our area. 

Pickleball tournament

Organized by Jacksonville Recreation & Parks. Over 50 teams participate each year.

The Ainsley's Angels Race Series 7th Annual Run With Your Heart 5K/10K hosted by Ainsley's Angels of Eastern Carolina.

This race provides scholarships to children who need assistance to participate in Girls on the Run and STRIDE. Also open to the public.

Marine corps half marathon

This race is a scenic flat run and lends itself to setting personal best records. Ideal for experienced Half Marathon Runners as well as beginners. Accept the challenge and receive a hero’s welcome.

Running with the law 5k

Run side by side with area Law enforcement officers, get some exercise, and support a great cause. Running with the Law is a 'sister' event to National Night Out

Merry Fitness 5k

GOTR & STRIDE teams (girls & boys 3rd-5th grade) run this 5K after a 10 week training program via the YMCA and area schools.
