The East Coast Invitational is a four day basketball tournament that has some of the best high school basketball teams in the state. It has been an exciting turnout for viewers in the past as they have had the opportunity to view future NBA talents such as Reggie Bullock, Coby White, and Brandon Ingram as examples. This year’s tournament was no different as fans were able to see 28 teams that possess future NCAA athletes perform. Future University of North Carolina commit and top 20 recruit, Day’Ron Sharpe, was on full display as he led South Central to victory over a Dontrez Styles led Kinston for the ECI tournament championship. The tournament was an excellent display for our community and one that we hope will continue to grow and be held in Jacksonville for the future.
