Quick Stick Has Grown Quickly

The 2018 Marine Chevy Quick Stick Lacrosse Invitational is in the books and it was a fantastic event! The weather was in the upper 70s in February and we had a great turnout (participants and spectators). Twenty-nine teams (16 girls and 13 boys) participated. Not only was it the largest number of participants ever (approximately 640 coaches and players) but it was also the largest number of spectators in terms of tickets sales (681).

It is very exciting to see that this event has grown each year in its first three years of existence. We also have a tremendous partner for the event in Onslow Tribe. Becky Stanford’s work, along with her volunteers, is to be commended! We are also very appreciative of Onslow Classic Soccer Association for letting us use their facility. Also thank you to the 40 plus volunteers that helped during the event.

Last but certainly not least, we want to thank our sponsors. We truly could not put on this event without their support. The financial support of our title sponsor, Marine Chevrolet, allows this event to be a reality. Thank you for all that you do! We also appreciate Golden Corral and Krispy Kreme for helping us feed our volunteers and officials. With the success of this event, we are excited about a new lacrosse event, Jax Lax, on the schedule for October 6-7. This event will feature 11 different divisions as young as 8U through high school (7v7) on the youth side as well adults (full squad). For more information please visit our website.
